"Growing Through The Groan"

Feb 1, 2026

Romans 8 shows that a believer’s groaning isn’t spiritual failure, it’s evidence that the Holy Spirit is at work in us. All creation groans for redemption, and the tension between flesh and Spirit is normal. The turning point: we are no longer debtors to the flesh; we owe our sinful nature nothing, and we’re obligated to live the Spirit-led life God designed. The message contrasts “good things” done in our own strength with “God things” led by the Spirit, warning that busy religious activity can still miss God’s assignment for the season. Salvation isn’t just a moment—it’s daily surrender. As we yield, resurrection power strengthens us to overcome what we can’t defeat on our own, producing real, inside-out transformation—not emotionalism or performance, but the Spirit as our guide, comforter, and supernatural strength.
