How it all started...
The story of Breakers Church began quietly in April of 2002, not in a sanctuary, but in a home. In that year, Aramis D. Hinds began teaching the Word of God in his living room, gathering a small but hungry group of believers. What started as simple times of Bible study, prayer, and fellowship became the seed of friendship evangelism and a growing spiritual community.
As the work grew, it became clear that this was more than a series of home Bible studies—it was the formation of a church. The ministry embraced the name Great Faith Outreach Ministries, reflecting both its evangelistic heart and its desire to build people up in faith.
These early gatherings were marked by sincerity, hunger for God, and a deep desire to see people transformed by the Gospel. Without formal structure, titles, or fanfare, the Lord began to shape a ministry that would ultimately impact lives, neighborhoods, and nations.

Expanding the vision...
On November 16, 2008, during a special anniversary weekend of services, Great Faith Outreach Ministries underwent a historic shift. The seed that was Great Faith Outreach “died,” and out of it was birthed Breakers Covenant Church International. That Sunday marked the first official worship service under the new name, publicly sealing what God had already been doing in the house's heart and identity.
This was not a marketing change; it was an identity statement. The church embraced a calling to be a Breaker people—agents of breakthrough in families, communities, systems, and nations.

Where we are headed...
New name, same mission—sharper focus. We’re now Breakers Church. Our message hasn’t changed; our aim has: follow Jesus and help others do the same. This year’s theme, Ready… Break!, is our huddle call—hear the play, break the huddle, run it with conviction.
Our next chapter
Our next chapter is clear: we will make disciples everywhere, aligning everything to the Great Commission—“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19). We will raise resilient believers, forming the next generation—kids, students, and young adults—to stand on the truth of God’s Word with courage and compassion. We will reach one person at a time, treating evangelism as personal—conversations, homes, neighborhoods—then cities and nations. We will live a presence-driven life, letting worship, Scripture, prayer, and Spirit-led obedience fuel our work. And we will mobilize for impact, serving the vulnerable, strengthening partnerships, and sending teams locally and globally. We’re out of the huddle and onto the field. Ready… Break!
