Resurrection Sunday
This powerful Resurrection Sunday message centers on three transformative truths: Christ's finished work, the freedom it secures, and our mission as His church. Drawing from John 19:28-30, we're reminded that when Jesus declared 'It is finished,' He wasn't surrendering in defeat but proclaiming the completion of humanity's redemption. We could never fix ourselves—our best efforts at righteousness fall short, our moral living can't bridge the gap between God and us. But what we could never accomplish, Christ completed fully. The message challenges us to stop living as though Jesus left something unfinished, as though we must earn our salvation through performance and religious activity. Instead, we're called to live from the victory already won. The imagery of the torn veil in Matthew 27 reveals that barriers have been broken—we now have direct access to God, no longer needing intermediaries. This isn't just historical information; it's an invitation to breakthrough. The hard protective shells around our hearts must break. The lies, fears, and false identities must break. It's time to break free from what has kept us captive and break into what Christ made possible. We're not just escaping bondage; we're entering into purpose, truth, freedom, and kingdom living. This is our moment to stop hiding behind walls of self-protection and allow God's Spirit to soften our hearts again.
